Urban Air Mobility (UAM) has been hailed as the next frontier in transportation, promising to revolutionize how we move within and between cities. As urban centers around the world grapple with congestion, pollution, and strained public transit systems, UAM offers a unique solution to bypass these challenges by taking to the skies. The study aimed to comprehensively understand and plan for the integration of UAM in Chicago by:
• Determining the feasibility of implementing Urban Air Mobility (UAM) within a specific area of Chicago. This involved evaluating
the technological capabilities and infrastructure requirements necessary to enable UAM operations in the city.
• Identifying and defining the requirements needed to achieve optimal outcomes in UAM enablement for Policy, Regulation, Commercialization, and Workforce Development.
